$2,000 / year
The homeschool track is a flat amount — the same for every approved family, with no income or disability tiering. (The private-school track is a separate program with a different, larger award and an accreditation requirement.)
Texas homeschool families approved for a Texas Education Freedom Account get a flat $2,000 each year. There is no reimbursement — every dollar is spent through the state Odyssey marketplace with approved vendors. So the real question is simple: how much of your award is left after curriculum?

100% on July 1
Homeschool families receive the full amount in a single lump sum on July 1. (The private-school track is staggered 25% / 25% / 50% across July, October, and February.)
Odyssey marketplace
Funds are spent through the state Odyssey marketplace with approved vendors — deducted at checkout. There is no reimbursement path: you cannot pay out of pocket and expense it later, so every dollar has to be planned inside the marketplace.
Most homeschool platforms charge per child, so a family of three pays three times over. SafeGuideEd is an online educational course and program with one flat family price — the same whether you teach one child or five. Set your child count below and watch how much of the $2,000 award each option leaves on the table.
