Homeschool students have equal dual-credit access at public two-year colleges.
Texas Education Code § 130.008HB 3041 (2025) extended that equal access to public four-year universities, starting Fall 2025.
HB 3041, 89th Texas Legislature (2025)A THECB rule effective May 13, 2026 requires homeschool dual-credit students to be 16 or older with a graduation plan; TSIA2 is not required for non-degree-seeking students, and course loads under 15 hours are generally exempt.
